Mané Croh dolmen

The poorly preserved tumulus holds two internal structures, a coffer to the north-west, discovered by Félix Gaillard in 1883, and a compartmentalised passage grave to the south-east. The passage grave has drawn the most attention from visitors to the listed historic monument since the late nineteenth century.

The site is near the roadside, close to a forest lane at the entrance to Varquez wood; it forms part of a huge set of monuments located in the wood. The Département has been conducting a development study for the ensemble since 2016. In autumn 2019, in a partnership between the Bretagne Regional Cultural Affairs Office (DRAC) and Auray Quiberon Terre Atlantique district council’s Megalith works unit, pine trees were cut down, a guide rope was installed, and a path was laid around the dolmen.
